Community Self-Determination and Resilience

We allow communities to invest in themselves, and have more stewardship over their own resources which increases responsiveness to community needs.

Communities can choose what projects to invest in based on their priorities. For instance, Wilkinsburg can choose to invest in housing rehabilitation, while using the Community Exchange Network (CIN) to grow the availability of rental units, housing, and home repair resources.

Localizing Wealth

Matches are displayed on the Community Exchange Network (CEN) timeline encourage the purchase of goods and services locally, and create multipliers of wealth through a feedback loop. Ultimately, this creates community supply chains allowing money and wealth to stay within a community. Most importantly, resource matching enhances community by building new connections and relationships.
